Torvteigen kindergarten is a parent-owned kindergarten that offers two departments for children. The nursery is located in safe, car-free surroundings, which provides a safe environment for play and learning. The outdoor area is large and varied, which gives the children the opportunity to explore and be active in nature.
The nursery is inspired by the Italian Reggio Emilia philosophy, which emphasizes the child's own desire and power to learn. Great emphasis is placed on play, creativity and curiosity, and arrangements are made so that the children can use all their senses in the learning process. In addition, the child's many forms of expression, known as "a hundred languages", are recognized and strengthened as part of the educational work.
