NMS (Det Norske Misjonsselskap) Region Møre is a religious organization based in Ålesund. The organization was established in 1842 in Stavanger and is Norway's first missionary organization. NMS is an independent unit within the Church of Norway and functions as a tool for realizing the church's mission. It consists of associations, groups and individual members who work together to share faith in Jesus and fight injustice and poverty.
The organization carries out varied work involving voluntary employees. NMS arranges inspiration gatherings and camp work, as well as offering thrift stores as part of its community involvement. In addition, NMS has several international projects in various countries and engages in church networks and local communities. There are also opportunities for voluntary work both in Norway and abroad, which gives individuals the chance to contribute to positive changes in society.
