Gallery Hersleb was established in 1982 and specializes in Old Scandinavian Masters from the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as contemporary art. The gallery has the largest selection of old Scandinavian art in Norway. The artworks on offer are cleaned by conservators and the frames are gilded with gold leaf, which adds an extra dimension to the art.
The gallery has two showrooms in Oslo and a central location in Ålesund. Torbjørn Aasen, the founder, has extensive experience in art and has advised both public and private collectors in Norway. Gallery Hersleb offers private viewings, which can also be arranged after working hours and on weekends, and is available for art talks and questions by phone.
