Bypakke Ålesund is a comprehensive transport project in Ålesund municipality, with a total budget of NOK four billion. The project aims to improve the roads, build new cycle paths and facilitate an increased use of public transport. The focus is also on securing the soft road users, as well as improving the school roads for children.
The collaboration between Ålesund municipality, Møre and Romsdal county council and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration is central to the development of Bypakke Ålesund. The project includes measures such as traffic diversions and infrastructure improvements, which will contribute to better and safer roads for all users. In addition, an increase in the toll tax is planned from 2025, as part of the financing of the proposed improvements.
