Frostating Court of Appeal, Ålesund, is one of six appeal courts in Norway and has an important role in the Norwegian legal system. This court serves the whole of Central Norway, which makes it a central body for judicial decisions in the region. The Court of Appeal has its head office in Trondheim courthouse, where it is co-located with Trøndelag district court.
