Fellesforbundet Sunnmøre is part of Norway's largest trade union in the private sector. With a membership of 170,000 people, the union works to promote better working life and ensure good wages and working conditions for its members. The organization has entered into collective agreements with over 6,000 companies, which helps to regulate working conditions in the private sector.
The association is also actively engaged in political issues concerning Norwegian workplaces, and supports initiatives that promote the interests of its members. In addition to political work, Fellesforbundet Sunnmøre arranges courses and conferences for shop stewards, which contributes to skills development and network building. Members of the association are also represented in the Storting, and great emphasis is placed on pension issues to safeguard the members' future financial security.
