Aalesunds Fotballklubb, founded on 25 June 1914, is a football club based in Ålesund. The club plays its home games at Color Line Stadium, which opened on 16 April 2005. Aalesunds FK has a rich history in Norwegian football, with several seasons in the top division and two NM titles won in 2009 and 2011. The club has also participated in qualification for the Europa League.
Aalesunds FK focuses on the development of its own players through the AaFK Academy and offers membership in the AaFK Society. The club has a street team that gives young players opportunities to develop. In addition, there is a historical archive documenting the club's past, as well as the podcast "1914-Podcasten" which deals with the club's history. Aalesunds FK is also known for its community involvement and local initiatives, and has been involved in Norway's longest football match, which led to changes in the football rules.
