Ålesund Boxing Club is a sports association that offers boxing as an activity for a wide target group. The club has a special focus on inclusion, and facilitates children, young people, women and people with Parkinson's disease. Through the boxing school for beginners aged 8 to 14, as well as beginner and advanced courses for youth and adults, the club provides opportunities for both newcomers and more experienced athletes.
The club also has special groups targeting active boxers and fitness programs for women. A unique offer is the Rock Steady programme, which has been developed for people with Parkinson's, and which aims to improve the quality of life through physical activity. In addition, Ålesund Boxing Club offers the loan of boxing helmets for sparring, as well as the sale of boxing equipment such as gloves, bandages and mouthguards, which helps to make boxing accessible to more people. The operation of the club is supported by the Grasrotandelen and various sponsors.
