The Sunnmøre municipal training office is responsible for the apprenticeship scheme in the member companies from six municipalities in northern Sunnmøre, including Fjord, Giske, Stranda, Sula, Sykkylven and Ålesund. The office offers apprenticeship contracts for professional qualifications and collaborates with approved apprenticeship companies that demonstrate social responsibility. Through the member companies, there are several apprenticeships available, which gives apprentices the opportunity to choose from different career paths.
In addition to administering the training, the Sunnmøre municipal training office arranges inspiration gatherings and awards for apprentices and supervisors. Emphasis is also placed on including the apprentices in the process by choosing apprentice representatives, which promotes participation and commitment.
