Alta and Surroundings Hiking Association is an organization that works to promote active and nature-friendly outdoor life. The hiking association is affiliated with the Norwegian Tourist Association (DNT) and includes the municipalities of Alta, Kautokeino, Karasjok and Loppa. With approximately 600 members, they offer a wide range of activities and services for outdoor enthusiasts.
The organization offers cabins and hiking tips, as well as arranging organized tours and activities for both members and interested parties. The hiking association focuses on preserving the natural and cultural basis of outdoor life, and there are opportunities to become a volunteer or member. Through their work, they contribute to strengthening the community around outdoor life in the region.
