Kronstadposten is a newspaper published in Alta, and has been in operation since 2010. It publishes news with a focus on local topics within business, sports and culture. The newspaper is published every Friday in print format, while also offering daily news online. In 2017, Kronstadposten had an approved circulation of 1,653 newspapers, and in 2016 it achieved the highest percentage growth among print newspapers in Norway.
The newspaper has a separate section aimed at young readers aged 15-20, known as UNG. Kronstadposten also encourages readers to contribute tips and content, which can strengthen the community and engagement among readers. In addition, the newspaper offers advertising opportunities for local businesses, which can be an advantage for the business community in the area. Tom Erik Nilsen, who was born in 1998, serves as editor-in-chief and was only 11 years old when he started the newspaper.
