Alta Fire Station serves as the main fire station for Alta Municipality and represents the permanent emergency response for the residents. The station is staffed with 24-hour personnel who ensure a rapid response to emergencies. In addition to the main station, the fire department has five auxiliary stations in the districts, which are staffed by call crews. This system makes it possible to provide effective assistance in the event of fires and accidents in areas outside the city center.
The fire station is organized into three sections: emergency section, preventive section and sweeper service. The overall management consists of a fire chief and managers for emergency and prevention, who are responsible for coordinating efforts and ensuring that the fire department is well prepared for various situations. Preventive work is an important part of the fire station's tasks, and emphasis is placed on reducing the risk of fires and accidents in the municipality.
