The Coastal School offers boatmanship courses and the boatmanship test in Alta, with the option of completing the course in one day. The courses are available to both beginners and experienced boatmen, and focus on a thorough introduction to navigation, seamanship rules and safety. Emphasis is placed on practical use of equipment, which contributes to effective training to pass the exam.
The instructors at the Coastal School have a solid maritime background, including experience from the coast guard, ocean sailing and boating. This gives participants a learning experience in an engaging classroom environment.
