Solheim Cemetery is located in Bergen and was inaugurated on Good Friday, April 6. The cemetery is divided into an upper and a lower part, separated by Løbergsveien. The area has been developed with a focus on a varied and appealing appearance, which gives it a characteristic atmosphere. Curved fields and winding roads contribute to the cemetery's distinctive character.
The cemetery contains both German and Soviet war graves, as well as the grave of the organist Lars Sørås d.e. Special attention has been paid to the selection and placement of trees and shrubs, which gives a harmonious impression. In May and June, visitors can enjoy a fantastic view during the cherry blossom season, which adds an extra element of beauty to the area.
