The UiB Charging Station is located in Bergen and is a charging station for electric vehicles. The station is located near the University of Bergen, which has nearly 21,000 students and over 4,200 employees. The university has a strong focus on sustainability and research-based innovation, which is reflected in their initiatives to promote the use of electric vehicles.
In addition to the charging station, the University of Bergen is known for its collaboration with the Bergen International Film Festival (BIFF) and for the celebration of the University Museum's 200th anniversary in 2025. A new Grieg Academy is also under construction, financed with 300 million kroner from the state budget. The university is home to a Center for Deep Sea Innovation that explores the secrets of the deep sea, as well as a professor of medieval archaeology who focuses on the significance of the past. Exciting lectures are offered in the Tower Hall, which contributes to a diverse academic environment.
