Ny-Krohnborg Public Library is part of Bergen Public Library and opened in the fall of 2022. The library is a collaboration between several actors, including the National Library, Ny-Krohnborg Primary and Secondary School, and Bergen Municipality. It was designed by Haltenbanken and aims to be an inclusive and safe place for all visitors.
The library offers a diverse range of services, including borrowing books in many different languages, as well as access to board games and computer games. There are study rooms that are designed for homework and language training, and there is also an inspiring school library for students from Ny-Krohnborg School. In addition, workshops and events are organized, as well as writing courses and author talks. The library also has the option of borrowing laptops (Chromebooks).
With its location, Ny-Krohnborg Public Library offers one of the city's best views, which contributes to an inspiring atmosphere for both reading and learning.
