Bergen Dansesenter serves as a competence center for dance in Vestland and offers instruction to students from 2 years of age and up, including adults. The school has a varied teaching program that covers stage dance styles such as classical ballet, hip hop, contemporary dance and jazz dance, adapted to both beginners and more experienced dancers.
As a regional competence center, Bergen Dansesenter works to strengthen the professional art of dance in the area. This includes consulting, guidance, production services and rental of premises. The center is also a local organizer of PRODA - professional dance training, as well as various professional events. In addition, they offer creative dance workshops for the age group 10-14 years and organize dance educational seminars in Bergen and Førde.
Bergen Dansesenter has an inclusive atmosphere and focuses on the development of new choreographies, including for ESC 2026. They also offer student scholarships for talented dancers and organize special dance events such as "Lunch and Dance Art", which help promote the art of dance in the region.
