Skomakerstuen is located at Skomakerdiket, just a ten-minute walk from the upper station of the Fløibanen funicular. The café opened in 2020 and was designed by the architectural firm SAAHA AS. It has an idyllic location amidst the trees, making it a natural meeting place and warm place for hikers on the city mountain Fløyen.
The café has 30 seats both indoors and outdoors, with a roof that provides protection from the weather. Skomakerstuen offers a selection of hot and cold drinks, as well as light snacks and freshly baked buns. In addition, there are accessible toilets, including a HC toilet and a changing table, making the place accessible to everyone. The café also offers free canoeing in the surrounding area.
