Vestlandsdrakten AS is a Bergen-based national costume maker, known for its specialization in the production of Vestlandsdrakter. The company was established in 1994, when they made their first costume as a party garment. The costumes are sewn to measure, which gives customers the opportunity for a customized fit. They also offer material packages for those who want to sew the costume themselves.
The costumes are available in seven different colors: red, blue, green, yellow, purple, rust and black. Ribbons and embroidery are matched to the color of the vest, which is made of 100% silk brocade. The stack is constructed of thin, fine wool fabric, which gives an elegant look. Vestlandsdrakten AS also offers shirts with embroidery inspired by local landmarks such as Bryggen or Mariakirken, as well as shirts with white stitching.
