Bergen Spillfestival is one of the world's largest gaming festivals and is being held for the 27th time from July 27 to August 13. The festival lasts 2.5 weeks and offers activities for all ages, with a special free children's and youth festival at Torgallmenningen. The event is based at the Bergen International Cultural Center, where most of the evening program takes place.
The festival has a diverse selection of games, including chess, card games, quizzes, gaming, Lego, Rubik's Cube, board games and giant Scrabble. In 2024, new games such as Cornhole and puzzles will be introduced. The festival focuses on community and fun, and expects to gather around 12,000 participants in 2023. In addition to gaming tournaments, courses and shows are offered, providing a unique mix of activities for both young and old.
