UKEN is Norway's largest student-run festival, established in 1980, and has since then been an important part of student culture in Bergen. The festival is organized by over 1,000 student volunteers, who contribute to a varied program that includes revues, concerts, auditorium shows and world record attempts. This diversity makes the festival appealing to a wide audience, and it aims to delight and bring together students from different study locations in the city.
The festival also offers special events, such as a package for business graduates that includes a champagne reception and a gala dinner. In addition, the UKE revue is shown, and there are performances by well-known artists, such as Donkeyboy. With its extensive program and commitment from the students, UKEN has become a central event in Bergen, helping to strengthen the community among students.
