The Vestland Mapping Agency is responsible for the establishment and operation of geographic information in Vestland County. The institution offers geodata resources and facilitates geodata collaboration, which contributes to a better utilization of geographic information in the region.
In addition to its core tasks, the Vestland Mapping Agency organizes professional meetings and conferences, including the Mareano conference, which focuses on maritime mapping and monitoring. They are also working to develop a new knowledge base for climate in Norway, with particular emphasis on cadastre and information meetings in collaboration with Norway digitally. This contributes to increased accessibility and understanding of geographic data for both public and private actors.
