BIT20 Ensemble, established in 1989, is considered one of the Nordic countries' leading ensembles for experimental and contemporary music. The ensemble has Trond Madsen as artistic director and principal conductor. Over the years, BIT20 has developed a varied program that includes concerts and participatory projects, such as GLIMT! and BITWaves, which aim to promote innovative musical experiences.
The ensemble is also involved in educational projects, such as Skolesekken, to reach younger audiences and contribute to musical learning. BIT20's focus on modern music and collaborations with various artists and projects make them a central player in the Norwegian music scene.
