Gallery Allmenningen AS is a private art gallery that was established in 1993. The gallery is located in central Bergen, near Fløibanen and Bryggen, and aims to communicate art to a wide audience. Owner and general manager, Atle Maurseth, has led the gallery since its inception.
The gallery offers a varied selection of paintings, graphics and sculptures, with a focus on contemporary art from both Norwegian and international artists. Approximately ten exhibitions are held each year, giving visitors the opportunity to experience new art. In addition to the exhibitions, the gallery has a selection of works from permanent artists for sale. Gallery Allmenningen also offers services such as assistance with the decoration of private and public buildings, as well as home loans of art to customers.
