The Hanseatic Museum and Schøtstuene museum shop are located at Bryggen in Bredsgården, and offer an insight into Bergen's Hanseatic history. The museum features unique gathering rooms from Hanseatic times, as well as original and reconstructed Schøtstuene. Visitors can explore the Schøtstueruinen, a stone house from 1280, and take part in guided tours that highlight stories of Bergen's heyday. The exhibitions highlight different aspects of history and provide insight into the lives of the farm's residents.
The museum shop has a selection of products that reflect the themes of the museum, including products produced in-house. There are also opportunities for school visits and teaching, making the place a resource for learning about local history. Together, the museum and shop create a holistic experience of Bergen's cultural heritage.
