The Faculty Secretariat of the Humanities in Bergen offers education in a number of humanities subjects, including language, literature, archaeology, history, philosophy, religion, theater, art, gender and culture. The faculty has a varied teaching offer that gives students the opportunity to delve into both theoretical and practical aspects of these subjects. In addition, studies in ancient Rome are planned for spring 2026, which provides a unique opportunity for students to experience historical contexts up close.
The Faculty Secretariat has recently received a new faculty board that aims to make important decisions for the future. In addition to education, the institution also focuses on research, with projects that include studies of rare medieval books found in Bergen.
