Rosenkrantz Tower, or Rosenkrantztårnet, is a historical museum located in the center of Bergen. The tower has its origins as a castle for the sheriffs and has a rich history that stretches from the Middle Ages to the time of the Danish Union. Visitors can explore various rooms in the tower, including the king's bedroom and dungeons, as well as enjoy magnificent views of the city.
The building was damaged during World War II in 1944, but was rebuilt in the 1960s. The tower is known for its many narrow and steep stairs, which makes it difficult for wheelchair users. It is recommended that visitors allow 45-50 minutes to explore the tower and its historical significance.
