AKKS Bergen is an idealistic music organization that focuses on diversity and equality in the music scene. The organization offers training and development for young musicians and organizers, with special programs aimed at girls, non-binary and transgender people aged 13-18. Through various courses in music production and songwriting, as well as access to rehearsal rooms at USF Verftet, AKKS Bergen facilitates the development of young talents.
In addition to courses and training, AKKS Bergen is involved in recruiting new musical talents and organizes concerts and music events for unestablished artists and bands. The organization is behind the youth organizing group UFLAKKS and is also the organizer of the Eggstock Festival, a traditional music festival for youth. AKKS Bergen is one of six branches in Norway and works for equality and diversity in all parts of the music industry.
