Bergen Technical Society, also known as Bergen Teknikersamfund (BTS), is an interdisciplinary student organization at the University College of Western Norway, located in Kronstad. The organization was founded on November 21, 1877, making it Norway's second oldest student organization. BTS has a rich history and traditions that have developed over time, including an active participation in the May 17th celebration, where they contribute floats and have a representative on the May 17th committee.
BTS offers academic and social support to students and focuses on networking and career development. The organization organizes career days and various social activities throughout the year, and aims to create an inclusive environment for all students. In addition, they are involved in student politics and social issues, and collaborate with local businesses and sponsors. The organization also publishes the satirical newspaper TVIST-dotten, which is part of their cultural offerings.
