NORWEGIAN TINNITUS ASSOCIATION is an organization that focuses on support and information for people who suffer from tinnitus. The association offers a course series with three sessions, where participants can learn about methods to reduce and manage tinnitus. Through the exchange of experiences, members have the opportunity to share their experiences and strategies to better manage everyday life. In addition, specialized rehabilitation services are offered in collaboration with South-Eastern Health, which includes day care for adults with tinnitus.
The organization emphasizes knowledge, stress management and relaxation as important elements in working with tinnitus sufferers. A referral from an ENT specialist or general practitioner is required to participate in group care. NORWEGIAN TINNITUS ASSOCIATION is also updated on new research and treatment methods, including recent legislation that gives tinnitus sufferers the right to correct treatment from healthcare professionals, effective from January 1, 2023.
