OPP and FRAM is a non-profit association that offers alternative social assistance to people in need. The organization functions as a safety net for the population when the public system is not sufficient. The association provides financial support to the homeless, poor and needy, as well as contributes to health projects, animal protection, environmental work and traffic safety measures. In addition, they support other associations, teams, foundations and organizations that share their values.
The organization is rooted in the same values as the Red Cross' seven basic principles, which include humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntariness, unity and universality. OPP and FRAM are ideologically and politically neutral, and work to counteract oppression and discrimination. They collaborate with several actors, including the Norwegian Tenants' Association, to promote their goals and values.
