The Welfare Council West is the student democracy of Sammen and represents all students in Western Norway. The organization aims to engage in student welfare, and works actively to improve conditions for students in the region. This includes efforts for better student housing and a strengthened mental health service.
In addition to political work, the Welfare Council West provides financial support to student organizations, which contributes to a diverse and active student environment. The organization also offers training opportunities and improved cafeteria services to safeguard students' health and well-being. Open meetings are arranged where all students can participate, as well as the opportunity to report issues and participate in debates, which promotes commitment and participation among students. The semester fee contributes to the financing of various support schemes for student welfare.
