Bergen Taekwon-do club, founded in 1981 by master Per Andresen, is one of Norway's oldest and largest martial arts clubs. The club has its main base in Haukelandshallen, where a large part of the 1100 members train. In addition to the main branch, the club has 14 district branches that offer training for children and youth in various areas such as Alvøen, Laksevåg, and Åsane.
The club is known for being the largest martial arts club in Western Norway and the second largest in Europe within Taekwon-Do. It offers beginner courses and has special offers for participants over 60 years of age. Bergen Taekwon-do club actively participates in national championships and arranges instructor courses in collaboration with the Norwegian Taekwon-Do Federation (NTN). The club emphasizes quality, safety and ethics in its teaching, and also includes parasports classes in its activities.
