BIT Teatergarasjen is a programming theatre that co-produces and presents both Norwegian and international performing arts. The theatre has a varied programme that includes dance, theatre and art presentations, with a focus on both local and international artists. In addition to performances, BIT Teatergarasjen organises the METEOR festival, which in 2025 will offer ten days of contemporary art and theatre from all over the world, including concerts, workshops and talks.
The theatre also has a rehearsal room at Bergen Kjøtt, which is used for creative projects. Lunch events are held to promote socialising and networking among artists and the audience. Exhibitions such as "The Library of Time has fallen asleep in the afternoon sunshine" are also part of the theatre's offer, which contribute to a richer artistic experience. In the future, BIT Teatergarasjen will move into Sentralbadet scenekunsthus, which is scheduled to be completed in 2025, and will become a new arena for theatre and dance in Bergen.
