The Faculty of Humanities Administration Building at the University of Bergen is part of an interdisciplinary faculty that offers education in several disciplines, including language, literature, archaeology, history, philosophy, religion, theatre, art, gender and culture. The faculty has over 3,700 students and offers a wide range of programs leading to various academic and professional qualifications.
The faculty emphasizes quality assurance and collaboration with schools, and has developed a strategy for the period 2023–2030. There is also a digital humanities lab that provides resources for research. In addition to education, there is active research on rare medieval books at Bergen Cathedral School, as well as events such as book talks with author Marit Eikemo. The faculty also offers the opportunity to study ancient Rome in the spring of 2026, as well as an alumni network for former students.
