The Natural Science Building is located in Bergen and is part of Norway's most international university. The building houses seven departments focusing on disciplines such as mathematics, chemistry, physics, computer science, earth science and life science. It offers education at all levels within these research fields, with an interdisciplinary approach to climate, energy and marine research and education.
As host to the Norwegian Marine University Cooperation, the Natural Science Building plays an important role in the research and education environment. The university also participates in Norway's largest climate initiative, Longship, and collaborates with international researchers, including from the Paris Aquarium. Priority areas include marine resources as well as climate and energy transition, which underlines the building's importance in working with global challenges.
