Barnevakten is a non-profit organization with 25 years of experience focusing on children and young people's screen use. The organization works to promote safe and conscious media use among young people, and offers a range of services aimed at parents, teachers and young people. Among the offerings are lectures and theme nights that address important conversations with teenagers, as well as activities that engage adults in children's gaming, especially during the annual Game Week.
In addition to teaching and information work, Barnevakten conducts surveys on parents' experiences with age limits in games. The organization also collaborates with Mental Helse Ungdom to support young people in challenging phases of life. Through its work, Barnevakten contributes to increased awareness of media use and the challenges that children and young people can face in the digital world.
