Bergen Husflidslag is a voluntary organization that aims to continue handicraft and craft traditions to new generations. The organization organizes member meetings with varied themes, and offers regular activities such as a lace group and a handicraft café. In collaboration with the Fisheries Museum, weekly handicraft workshops are held, where participants can share experiences and learn from each other.
In addition to activities for adults, Bergen Husflidslag collaborates with the Norwegian Federation for the Conservation of Nature to offer activities for children through the program Miljøagentene. The organization also offers courses and training in bunad and weaving, with a focus on living traditions and the use of sustainable materials. This creates an inspiring and creative environment for members, where they can develop their skills and share their interest in handicrafts.
