Bergen Vel is a foundation whose main purpose is to renovate and finance protected and listed buildings, wharves, boats and grave monuments. The foundation was established by Roger Iversen and has been active in the work of preserving cultural and historical objects. Among the completed projects is the renovation of the music pavilion and the boss quay in Skuteviken, which has contributed to preserving the area's cultural heritage.
In addition to renovation work, Bergen Vel offers free advice on restoration projects. The foundation also looks after the Laurie Grundt collection, which is used for national and international exhibitions. Bergen Vel collaborates with various partners to realize its projects and has received media coverage for its work with the preservation of cultural monuments. Projects are being planned, and the foundation continues to work to promote the preservation of important cultural and historical objects.
