The Centre for Gender Equality in Western Norway is a non-profit organisation that aims to promote gender equality and diversity in the regions of Rogaland, Vestland and Møre og Romsdal. The centre offers knowledge dissemination and competence building, as well as advice and guidance to both public and private actors. Through project initiatives and development work, the centre works to raise awareness of gender equality challenges and support measures that contribute to a more inclusive society.
The centre is also involved in networking and collaboration with relevant actors to strengthen work on gender equality. They offer various courses, professional days, online courses and conferences, as well as certification and assessments within gender equality. The Centre for Gender Equality in Western Norway is the fifth gender equality centre in Norway, and was established in Bergen as part of the government's commitment to gender equality in all regions.
