Trygg Trafikk Vestland is a non-profit organization that works to promote road safety in the region. The organization organizes various competitions, including "Reflector Designer of the Year", which was won by 16-year-old Max Dørje. Through a focus on art and design, they want to raise awareness of the importance of using reflectors in traffic.
In addition to competitions, Trygg Trafikk Vestland offers resources and information to kindergartens and schools. They actively work to make school roads safer, including through projects such as Hjertesone. The organization also participates in road safety conferences and collaborates with various actors to strengthen road safety in the local community. Another important aspect of their work is testing and evaluating bicycle helmets for children, in collaboration with Tryg Forsikring.
Trygg Trafikk is a nationwide organization that acts as a link between volunteers and public authorities responsible for road safety. Their core activities include road safety education for children and young people, as well as interdisciplinary cooperation on road safety and information about risk factors and the use of safety equipment.
