Vestland Music Council is a voluntary organization that works to promote inclusion and diversity in the music scene. The organization offers grants for organizational development and recruitment, and organizes the conference "Music for All" that focuses on diversity in music. They collaborate with local music and cultural councils to strengthen the musical environment in the region.
In addition to their activities for inclusion, Vestland Music Council offers resources for music in prison and freedom, as well as facilitating music activities for children. They engage in professional dialogue evenings that address resource and competence needs, and are active in the work with the UN's sustainable development goals. The organization also supports research on the role of music in preventing exclusion. Vestland Music Council is the county branch of the Norwegian Music Council and the Norwegian Music Studies Association.
