Saltvern School is Nordland's largest primary school and offers teaching from 1st to 10th grade. The school is located in the district of Rønvik, near the center of Bodø, and has a varied offer for students of different ages. The school has an after-school program (SFO) which gives pupils the opportunity to participate in activities after school.
The school has its own areas of focus for development, and emphasis has been placed on including special education specialist teams to take care of the students' various needs. Saltvern School also offers access to the school health service, as well as various services within health and coping. In addition, pupils are encouraged to actively participate in culture, sport and leisure, which contributes to a varied and inclusive learning environment.
