Østbye School is located in Bodø and functions as a welcome school for multilingual students. The school has a strong focus on inclusion and diversity, and facilitates a learning environment where all students can thrive and develop. In addition to regular teaching, Østbye School offers an after-school program (SFO) to support the students' needs outside of school hours.
The school has a collaboration with Nordlandsbadet to offer school swimming, which is part of the school's health promotion work. Østbye School emphasizes active participation in local cultural and sports events, and has committed staff who work closely with parents through the IST app. The school also has access to a special education specialist team to be able to provide the necessary support to pupils with special needs.
