Pedalen sikkelverksted is part of the Church's Bymission Nordland and operates as a non-profit organization in Bodø. The workshop offers bicycle repair and maintenance services, and aims to be an open and inclusive arena for everyone. The organization works for respect, justice and care, and engages in social issues, including children's rights and the fight against poverty.
In addition to bicycle repair, Pedalen offers handmade products in its online store, made by people outside of ordinary working life. Through their work, they focus on creating community and counteracting outsiderness, and have been active champions of queer love since the 1970s. The organization also participates in debates about relevant social challenges in society.
