Bodø Frivilligsentral is a voluntary organization based in the Tusenhjemmet Culture and Knowledge Centre. The organization acts as a link between people who need volunteers and voluntary groups and associations. Bodø Voluntary Center aims to further develop and strengthen the voluntary sector by establishing new forms of cooperation between public bodies and voluntary organisations.
Among the services offered is a digital café for seniors that is organized every Wednesday, as well as courses, lectures and guidance for various target groups. The organization works actively to counteract digital alienation, and also offers bereavement groups for support and fellowship. Bodø Frivilligsentral participates in activities at Tusenhjemmet and Tverlandet Housing and Service Centre, and recognizes volunteers' efforts through the distribution of volunteering awards. In addition, they are involved in the European Capital of Culture Bodø.
