Cookie Policy — NorgeGuide | GA4 & Google Ads

This policy describes what cookies and similar technologies NorgeGuide uses and how you can manage them.
1) Categories of cookies
- Strictly necessary — provide basic functionality: account login, form protection, remembering your choice in the consent banner. Enabled without separate consent.
- Analytical (GA4) — help us understand traffic and improve content. Enabled only with your consent.
- Marketing (Google Ads) — display advertising and measure conversions. Enabled only with your consent.
We do not use third-party advertising networks other than Google.
2) Consent management
In the ‘Cookie settings’ banner, you can: accept all, reject non-essential cookies, or select categories (Analytics/Marketing). You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.

Note: _gcl_* cookies are stored as first-party on your domain.
If you disable the Marketing category in the banner, these cookies will not be set.
4) Technical logs and similar technologies
Minimal technical logs (IP/time/URL/response code) are generated on the hosting side for security and diagnostics. The storage period is up to 90 days. These are not cookies, but we disclose them for transparency.
5) International transfers
When using Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, data may be processed outside the EEA (e.g. in the USA). We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) and apply additional safeguards. We will update this policy if we change providers or the geography of processing.
6) Updates
We may update the list of cookies, storage periods and settings. The version date is indicated at the top. We will reflect significant changes in the banner and/or on this page.
