Espira Vannverksdammen is located in Konnerud in Drammen municipality, about 10 minutes from the city center. The kindergarten has a large and varied outdoor area that includes toboggan runs, playground equipment, swings and sandboxes, as well as proximity to forests and hiking areas. This gives children the opportunity to explore nature and participate in various outdoor activities. The kindergarten also has a lavvo with a campfire, which is used for community and meals.
As a packed lunch-free kindergarten, Espira Vannverksdammen offers three healthy and nutritious meals every day. The emphasis is on language enjoyment, science experiences and the joy of movement, with safe adults who support the children's development. Inclusion and diversity are central values in the organization. The kindergarten has a project called "from egg to chicken", where children learn about nature by following the process from egg to hatching of chickens, which provides a practical and engaging learning experience.
