Guts Second Hand is a second-hand shop that was established in 2005, with branches in both Drammen and Vikersund. The shop in Drammen offers a varied selection of vintage goods at reasonable prices. It aims to provide adult drug addicts with opportunities to gain work experience and support in their rehabilitation. Guts Second Hand is part of the Guts Foundation, which focuses on care and charity, as well as a recovery-oriented work methodology.
The shop is staffed 24 hours a day and offers services to both boys, girls and couples. Intake is via local NAV offices or the municipality's drug counselor. Guts Second Hand has an interdisciplinary milieu therapeutic approach, which helps to create a safe and supportive environment for those who want to take the first step towards drug freedom. In May 2025, a new asylum reception center is planned to open in Vikersund, which will further expand the offer.
