Drammen Sterkeidrettslag was founded in 1975 and is affiliated with both the Norwegian Powerlifting Federation and the Norwegian Sports Federation. The club is certified as a Clean Sports Club, which means a focus on clean and fair sports. It aims to promote powerlifting, with specific exercises such as squats, bench presses and deadlifts.
The club is open to members of both sexes and all ages, and emphasizes strength as a more important factor than appearance. Training takes place at Drammen Kampsportsenter, where new members can take advantage of a free trial class to get to know the offer.
